Scruffs Pet Beds

Yesterday we had a company that makes dog and cat beds also collars and leads bring us a load of seconds and returned beds for dogs and cats to do with as we wanted. The staff descended like vultures. I managed to get Wibble a lovely bed and have placed her duvet (feather of course!) into it, so she had extra padding.

Then half an hour later the company came back with another load. This time l grabbed some beds for night shift staff pets as well, but of course, as l did not get everyone a bed l came in for abuse. Day shift were grabbing for friends and family etc which while not fair was par for the course. (l was on 13:00-23:00 shift)

The really useful thing is that the beds have lots of zips so you can take the covers off and wash them separate and rinse the inside foam on it's own. Usually the problem with pet beds is as soon as you put them in the wash the interior snarls into a ball, you can not untangle it and it goes soft and saggy.

By way of thanks to the company Scruffs Beds l would advise anyone looking for dog or cat beds beds to have a look at them they make fantastic beds. On the website go into their Scruffs (dogs) and Tramps (cats) section. Wibble got their Park Lane - Windsor (large/cream) dog bed

What a great gesture!

OT, but I wondered if you'd seen this in the 'Telegraph' and had any comment.

Feeding them medicine for mange? Not over the counter stuff, surely?

Not sure what they are feeding for treatment to be honest. I am on this shift with the skin vet and will ask him tonight well tomorrow but tonight (if that makes sense given it is around 4am. And let you know if he has any ideas. Mange has always been a big problem in foxes, it is generally sarcoptes and that is a sod to get rid of. It is transmissible to other pets and humans so care should be taken.
I agree with the comments on being careful what you feed foxes but that applies to all animals.

A bed for snowdrop? She much prefers ours, and my cushion as you probably saw from the photos. She has made her (our) bed and she makes sure she lays on it!(hehe)

Asked the vet about the medication. His comment was pretty much like stated. Unless it is something a vet has given to use after confirming what the animal has it is BS.

Nothing you can buy over the counter certainly for animals whether there is for humans and people are using this without veterinary advice and risking the animals on untested/known products that would be the only other option.
